The R1 Multiroom amplifier is the ideal solution wherever a multiroom audio distribution
system is required. Thanks to the flexible and new advanced digital design, using
the web based control function, the R1 can be used in almost any situation.
The R1 has a full matrix concept and can route 8 separate audio sources to 8 separate
zone outputs.
In case you need to control more than 8 zones, no problem at all. The R1 has the possibility
to link up to 16 devices in cascade, which gives you the possibility to control up
to 128 separate zone outputs, using the 8 original audio sources.
Due to the web based feature you can control the complete R1 system, using a standard
PC (or laptop or PDA) and a standard web browser. You surf to the appropriate
web page and you have full control of the system. Of course, there is also the choice to
use optional wall controllers for each zone, using the RS485 connections, or an external
control device (as AMX, Crestron) using the RS232 connection.
Further more, 2 priority inputs with adjustable gain settings are provided for voice file
messages and priority calls. An optional interface is available to use AUDAC’s Digital
Paging microphones for emergency and priority calls.
The R1 is built as a 19” rack type device for mounting in a 19” rack. This makes the R1
the best choice in various applications.
The R1 is available in 2 versions.
1. R1 including 8 x 40 W @ 4 Ohm stereo amplification.
2. R1-Light without amplification.

At the front of the R1 you can find all the necessary controls, arranged in logical and
practical order to obtain maximum simplicity. Clear and accurate 2 x 8 segment stereo
VU level indicators show the strength of the outgoing signal on each zone.

At the back of the amplifier, all the necessary controls and connection possibilities
can be found, arranged in logical and practical order to obtain maximum
flexibility and simplicity.
